Pulau Tenggol is another beautiful diving getaway island lies offshore of Kuala Dungun in the southern of Terengganu. This tiny and compact island is only 45 minutes from the coastal quite jetty in Kuala Dungun. It is as small as 3km in length and 2km in width. However, this doesn’t prevent it from becoming a paradise for many people especially diving enthusiasts.
From Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Dungun (approx. 380km)
From East Coast Expressway (E8) or Leburaya Pantai Timur (LPT), it is same expressway but different name, direct to Dungun exit and continue route 132 to costal route 3 to Dungun Town, form Dungun continue route 127 to Kuala Dungun, Rajawali, Tenggol Island Jetty.
From Singapore/Johor Bahru to Kuala Dungun (approx. 490 km):
From North South Expressway (E2) head north and exit at Yong Peng, continue route 1 to Segamat, change to route 12 to Kuantan direction, before Kuantan city change to route 3 to Dungun (Coastal road to Kemaman, Dungun and Kuala Terengganu)
From Johor Bahru follow route 3 direct to Dungun (Coastal road to Kemaman, Dungun and Kuala Terengganu)
From Penang to Kuala Dungun (approx. 535 km):
From Penang follow Butterworth Kulim Expressway (E15) to Lunas and change to route 4 to Kupang, and follow route 4 via Grik to Jertih. Continue route 3 to Kuala Dungun.
That have many express coaches depart daily from Kuala Lumpur (about 6 hours journey), Singapore (about 9.5 hours journey) and Johor Bharu (about 9 hours journey) to Dungun Bus terminal, mostly departure in evening between 20:00PM to 23:00PM, you can easily to buy online coach ticket from internet. The journey include 2 rest stops or more along the journey for foods, refreshments and toilet stops. The most comfortable coaches (VIP) have 24-32 seats in a 2-1 seating arrangement. The seats are spacious with plenty of leg room. There are also 36-40 seater coaches 4 seats abreast that would as well get you to Dungun in best comfort. If you are travelling overnight, bring some warn clothing (Jacket/ Sweater). It can be quite cool. Soft or inflatable pillow can help you sleep more comfortably. If coaches last stop terminal is Kuala Terengganu, please do not forget to inform the coach drivers to drop off you in Dungun Bus Terminal.

Journey by air takes approximately 45 minutes, (we are suggest you take 7:00AM departure and 7:55AM arrival flight) from Kuala Terengganu Sultan Mahmud airport to Kuala Dungun jetty takes another 60 minutes journey by land transport. Please do not hesitate to inform us if you’re coming by flight, we will adjust speedboat departure time to 9:30AM instead of 8:30AM.
